AI4Debunk General Assembly – Thessaloniki

The AI4Debunk consortium gathered in Greece on 15–16 October 2026 for a productive two-day General Assembly! Partners came together to review major project milestones, assess progress, and refine our strategy for safeguarding democratic integrity.

The consortium opened with addresses from project co-ordinator Prof. Inna Šteinbuka and European Commission Policy Officer Peter Burian, alongside reflections on our recent events in Brussels and Galway.

Work package leads reviewed technical deliverables, including multimodal fake news detection, explainability modules, continuous graph adaptation, and upcoming updates on the EU AI Act.

Partners also aligned on future rollouts for the AI4Debunk browser plug-in, mobile app, collaborative platform, and VR game, while planning user testing, sustainability roadmaps, and SSH integration leading into 2027.

A huge thank you to DOTSOFT for hosting us in Thessaloniki on 15–16 October! Onward together toward our next phase of innovation and testing!
